Right from the initial consultation, Jay demonstrated an incredible attention to detail and a genuine desire to tailor the catering experience to our preferences and stayed true to our vision (a memorable lobster bake for our 35-person guest welcome dinner and an Italian style buffet for our reception dinner). He thought of everything, leaving no stone unturned to ensure that every aspect of the catering was perfect.

We had our wedding catered by Miss Hamill’s Hospitality, in Rangeley this August. It was an outdoor wedding, and it was raining non-stop while Jay and his team were getting everything ready and they made the best of it. Thankfully, just before the ceremony, the sun came out! While we didn’t get a chance to enjoy Jay’s food (except for a delish fritter), our guests RAVED about it! We’re still hearing compliments about it! It was a great day and we’re so happy that Jay was willing to travel 3 hours to cater our cocktail-style wedding, along with brunch the next morning!

On Labor Day weekend 2023 we were fortunate to have Jay (Miss Hamill’s Hospitality) be our private chef for our family anniversary celebration.

We started with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Jay’s grilled shrimp and lobster skewers were fabulous. The fritters were gobbled up. The scene was set for the lovely dinner.

Chef waited for us to signal that we were ready for dinner. Jay prepared everything on-site including steak grilled to perfection, a flavorful seared fish and an array of fabulous side dishes all served family style for our 16 guests. Finally, he served up a palate-pleasing peach/blueberry crumble topped with fresh whipped-cream.

The crew took care of all the clean-up leaving a spotless kitchen. Jay is a pleasure to work with, everything was as promised, he and his crew are pleasant and talented.

We would enthusiastically recommend Miss Hamill’s.

Miss Hamill's catered our 200 person wedding in September 2023 and I can't say enough good things about Jay and his team. After the wedding everyone was reaching out specifically to comment on how incredible the food was. Jay's talent really shines through in every dish he creates. The planning process was fun and easy. He was flexible to our needs, organized, and is a pleasure to be around. We love that he sourced everything locally and his menu thoughtfully aimed to avoid any food waste....for instance, he prepared the most delicious hake dish for one of our main courses and used a different part of the fish for a fresh ceviche hors d'oeuvre he served at the cocktail party. Jay and Danielle allowed us to host the most extraordinary and carefree evening. My husband and I had a dinner party with 12 guests and we were able to so fully enjoy every minute with our friends because Jay and Danielle took care of EVERYTHING. The food was delicious, elegant but comfortable and absolutely perfect … and all locally sourced! I am still dreaming about Jay’s buttermilk biscuit peach & blueberry crumble. Danielle is an absolute delight and sourced the perfect wine pairings for every part of our meal. I loved working with them and planning out the evening. And I had to hug them at the end of the night when I walked into my kitchen and it was cleaner than it was before they arrived! Heaven!! Thank you both so much! I can’t wait to do it again.

I attended a wedding catered by Miss Hamill’s in September and it was easily the most delicious food I’ve had at a large event. It was a unique selection, all clearly locally sourced, fresh and just so yummy! They offered multiple fresh sauces, chimichurri, etc that elevated the dishes to another level and everything was cooked to perfection - for such a large group that is incredibly impressive. Jay did an excellent job catering the wedding I attended a couple weeks ago. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh and well presented. The team seemed extremely dialed and talented. I was chasing the guy down with the pork belly lettuce wraps! :)
